About the Role

The Deputy Head (Academic) will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of academic policies and procedures, ensuring that our students receive a high-quality education that prepares them for success in their future careers. You will work closely with the Head of School and other members of the senior leadership team to drive academic excellence and improve student outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement academic policies and procedures that align with the school's mission and values
  • Lead the development and implementation of curriculum plans and assessments
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to address them
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to ensure that students receive a high-quality education
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of school policies and procedures
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A strong academic background, including a PGCE, QTS or equivalent
  • Experience of teaching in an outstanding independent school setting
  • Excellent leadership and management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A commitment to professional development and a demonstrated record of having kept abreast of recent, relevant educational methodology
