Housing Solutions Officer

We are partnering with a Local Authority in Islington to support the appointment of a Housing Solutions Officer on a 3-month contract, with potential for extension. To apply, please submit your CV for immediate consideration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To be part of an agile front door service, adapting to changing demand and internal transformation while ensuring customer interactions are handled efficiently and professionally.
  • To utilize modern workflow practices and technology to deliver improved responses to service requests, enquiries, payments, and incoming reports, processing transactions and organizing access to specialists when required.
  • To update systems, people, and documentation to ensure data accuracy, relevance, and validity, increasing the value and effectiveness of our data resources.
  • To promote digital and self-serve options, encouraging service users to adopt these solutions through effective digital inclusion activities, aligning with the channel shift program.
  • To conduct robust assessments, recording and reviewing risks and vulnerabilities, escalating as necessary to the appropriate level within the service structure.

Requirements:

  • Experience in providing advice and practical assistance to the public in a social housing, public sector, or equivalent setting.
  • Experience in working with and delivering services to a multi-cultural community.
  • High level of numeracy and literacy, with the ability to work with financial data and communicate complex information verbally and in writing in a clear and concise manner.

  • Candidates should be available to start immediately or at short notice.
  • Candidates must have the right to work in the UK.
  • This role requires a basic DBS.
