Brickwork Instructor

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Brickwork Instructor to deliver lectures in construction - bricklaying to students. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the trade and be able to enforce a strict Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) policy during practical lessons.

Responsibilities:

• Lecture Delivery: Plan and deliver engaging lessons that cater to different learning styles.
• Student Support: Provide guidance and support to students throughout their training.
• Health & Safety: Ensure students adhere to health and safety guidelines at all times.

About the Role:

• The successful candidate will work part-time, Wednesday - Friday, 08:30 - 17:00.
• Salary: £31,544 per annum, pro rata.
• Location: St Albans.
• Reporting to: Curriculum Team Manager Carpentry and Joinery & Trowel Trades.

Requirements:

• A minimum of five years of industrial experience in brickwork.
• An NVQ Level 2 or higher qualification in brickwork.
• A teaching qualification, such as a PGCE or Cert Ed, would be beneficial but not essential.
• A current DBS certificate.
