Job Overview:

DCA Recruitment is seeking an experienced Brickwork Instructor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons in construction - bricklaying to students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lecture Delivery & Student Engagement: Deliver high-quality, comprehensive lessons that cater to different learning styles and ensure students can demonstrate their understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of bricklaying.
  • Practical Demonstrations & Student Interaction: Provide clear, hands-on demonstrations of bricklaying techniques to reinforce theoretical learning and enhance student engagement.
  • Health & Safety Enforcement: Enforce a strict Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) policy during practical lessons to ensure students adhere to health and safety guidelines.

About You:

  • A minimum of five years of industrial experience in brickwork is required, with a deep understanding of the trade.
  • Possess an NVQ Level 2 or higher qualification in brickwork, showcasing expertise in the field.
  • A teaching qualification, such as a PGCE or Cert Ed, would be beneficial but not essential.
  • Hold a current DBS certificate.

Schedule & Benefits:

Wednesday - Friday, 08:30 - 17:00. Salary: £34,512 per annum, pro rata. Location: St Albans. Reporting to: Curriculum Team Manager Carpentry and Joinery & Trowel Trades.
