Key Responsibilities:
  • Liaise with clients' Environment teams, Highway Designers, and Programme Delivery teams to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Lead weekly resourcing and progress meetings to drive project momentum.
  • Monitor contract inboxes, respond to queries, and maintain scheme delivery trackers.
  • Review task briefs, produce fee proposals, and contribute to bid preparation.
  • Input into programme development, attend progress meetings, and coordinate site work.
  • Manage change processes, raise early warning notifications, and compensation events as needed.
  • Monitor progress and deliver reports on time.
  • Support clients in managing workload across the team.
Requirements:
  • Undergraduate degree in Environmental Science or similar subject.
  • Experience in project management, preferably in environmental projects within the transport sector.
  • Membership of a professional body or relevant qualifications/experience leading to membership.
  • Experience working in multi-disciplinary environments, interacting with environmental disciplines, design teams, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Contract management experience (e.g., CEMAR) is desirable.
  • Ability to manage budgets, resourcing, and plan workload to deliver projects on time and on budget.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the aptitude to explain environmental issues and manage environmental risk.
  • Experience using Microsoft packages, including MS Project and Excel.
