About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to lead our team in managing procurement activities for direct and indirect products and services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of buyers to achieve departmental objectives
  • Provide training and coaching to team members to ensure they meet their potential
  • Act as escalation path for problems and issues, providing clear communication to affected areas
  • Develop and maintain departmental metrics to track performance
  • Liaise with Commodity management, NPI/Transfer Manager, and SIOP teams to ensure procurement needs are met
  • Allocate workloads amongst team members to ensure each individual meets personal and departmental objectives
  • Participate in Supply Chain management to develop strategies and process improvement initiatives

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of Supply Chain processes with commercial acumen
  • Excellent communication skills internally and externally
  • Action-focused with a drive to deliver concrete results
  • Proven track record of delivering KPI improvements in aerospace environments
  • Engineering knowledge/exposure is desirable
  • Significant procurement experience in Aerospace/Automotive/Electrical industries
  • Comprehensive IT skills including Excel, Word, and ERP systems (SAP experience advantageous)

Benefits and Compensation

This role offers a competitive salary of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits. Located in Wolverhampton, this position requires a strong understanding of supply chain management principles and commercial acumen to succeed.
