About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to lead our team in managing procurement activities for direct and indirect products and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a team of buyers to achieve departmental objectives
- Provide training and coaching to team members to ensure they meet their potential
- Act as escalation path for problems and issues, providing clear communication to affected areas
- Develop and maintain departmental metrics to track performance
- Liaise with Commodity management, NPI/Transfer Manager, and SIOP teams to ensure procurement needs are met
- Allocate workloads amongst team members to ensure each individual meets personal and departmental objectives
- Participate in Supply Chain management to develop strategies and process improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Strong understanding of Supply Chain processes with commercial acumen
- Excellent communication skills internally and externally
- Action-focused with a drive to deliver concrete results
- Proven track record of delivering KPI improvements in aerospace environments
- Engineering knowledge/exposure is desirable
- Significant procurement experience in Aerospace/Automotive/Electrical industries
- Comprehensive IT skills including Excel, Word, and ERP systems (SAP experience advantageous)
Benefits and Compensation
This role offers a competitive salary of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits. Located in Wolverhampton, this position requires a strong understanding of supply chain management principles and commercial acumen to succeed.
