Residential Care Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Support Worker to join our team at Acorn Homes Group. As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to vulnerable children and young people in our care.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high standards of care, protection, and support to children and young people, facilitating their physical, psychological, emotional, and recreational development in line with individual care plans.
- Organise, plan, and take responsibility for the daily activities and routines of the children and young people in your care.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, children, and young people, both verbally and in writing.
- Motivate, aid, and guide children in their self-development, setting positive examples at all times.
- Manage children who display disruptive or challenging behaviour, guiding and directing staff in managing that behaviour.
- Understand and implement Quality Standards, reacting calmly in stressful situations.
- Maintain administrative records as required by the organisation.
- Competitive salary of £30,160 per annum, including £40 per sleep shift.

- Be prepared to work early, late, and night shifts, including sleepovers, on a rota basis.
- Be over the age of 21.
- Two years' experience working in a Children's Home.
- Full UK driving license.
