Andrews Recruitment Group Limited is seeking an experienced High-Voltage Maintenance Engineer to join their team. As a key member of the company's engineering department, you will be responsible for installing, modifying, and commissioning new plant equipment.

Job Description:

  • Install, modify, and commission new plant equipment to high standards.
  • Diagnose and repair faults on plant control systems efficiently, minimising production loss.
  • Perform instrumentation, control, and automation maintenance on production equipment for asphalt and concrete.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and create method statements to ensure safe installation or maintenance activities.
  • Provide technical advice and support, including training for trainees.
  • Quickly and effectively repair plant failures, prioritising downtime reduction.

About You:

  • Technical Skills: You have the ability to read and fault-find from schematic drawings with hands-on experience in inverter drives, relay logic, and PLCs.
  • Instrumentation Expertise: Experience in calibration and maintenance of frontline instrumentation is a strong advantage.
  • Operational Understanding: Practical knowledge of plant and control systems is highly desirable.
  • Qualifications: Ideally, you hold an HNC or City and Guilds NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) in an electrical discipline.
  • Driving Licence: A valid UK driving licence is essential as you will cover multiple sites.
  • Physical Fitness: You are comfortable working at height and willing to complete IPAF training. Flexibility to work out of hours when necessary is a must.
