We are seeking an experienced leader to drive the success of our site operations. As the Head of Site Operations, you will be responsible for leading multiple sites, ensuring compliance with statutory obligations, and delivering excellent service to our customers.

Main Responsibilities

Health and Safety - Ensure the effective implementation of our Health and Safety Policy and compliance with all statutory obligations.

Customer - Deliver excellent service to our customers, establish and maintain business relationships, and understand customer needs.

People - Develop and support an organisational culture that embodies our values, lead, manage, and motivate colleagues, and ensure effective collaboration.

Quality - Lead the delivery of outstanding service delivery and operational compliance, and provide leadership and support to site teams.

Financial and Decision-Making - Manage the preparation and implementation of annual budgets, focus on value-adding business activities, and continuously review financial performance.

Continual Improvement & Innovation - Continuously review the operating terrain, identify areas for improvement, and be a champion for creative thinking.

Corporate Social Responsibility - Uphold, safeguard, and promote the reputation and values of our organisation.

Essential Postholder Requirements

  • To become a Transport Manager on the Operators Licence
  • To be the Site Accountable Manager

Person Specification

  • Demonstrate the Arriva Values and Leadership Mindset
  • A proven track record of management responsibilities of an operational facility, with full P&L ownership
  • Experience of leading, managing, motivating, and developing large high-performing teams
  • Background in a customer-facing environment, capable of understanding and developing customer satisfaction
  • Demonstrable experience in creating a safe and continuously improving working environment
  • Capable of translating the site's strategic and annual deliverables into effective plans
  • Experience of working in partnership with Trade Union representatives
