About the Role

  • Design and Deliver Inspiring Lessons: Create engaging Geography lessons that meet the national curriculum requirements and the school's educational ethos.
  • Foster a Supportive Classroom Environment: Encourage critical thinking, exploration, and a deeper understanding of our planet and its diverse cultures in a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
  • Assess and Monitor Student Progress: Provide regular feedback to facilitate individual growth and development.
  • Collaborate with Colleagues: Work effectively with colleagues within the Humanities department and across the school to enrich the learning experience.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in Geography or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Demonstrated experience teaching Geography at the secondary level.

Salary and Benefits

  • A competitive salary of approximately £35,000 - £50,000 per annum, aligned with the Main Pay Scale (MPS) or Upper Pay Scale (UPS), depending on experience.
