About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Lawyer to join our team as a Senior Lawyer. As a key member of our Environment & Sustainability team, you will play a crucial role in advising clients on a wide range of environmental legal issues, including advisory, contentious, and transactional projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advise clients on environmental legal issues, including strategic and operational compliance advice, responsible investment, and environmental governance.
  • Manage complex cases and work with clients across various sectors, including retail, transport, digital, health, industrial, manufacturing, automotive, energy, and utilities.
  • Provide clear, precise, and practical advice to clients, often to tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of key areas of the law and an aptitude to observe developments in law and policy and evaluate how these would impact our clients' businesses.
  • Liaise effectively with other fee earners across the firm globally.
  • Be involved in business development activities and contribute to the growth of our Environment & Sustainability team.
Requirements
  • At least 7 years of experience as an Environmental Lawyer, gained at an appropriate level.
  • Proven experience of building and maintaining client relationships.
  • Experience in supporting and developing junior team members.
  • An understanding of the broad commercial interests of our client base.
  • A desire to operate in a team-based environment but working with colleagues across the firm.
