About the Role

The successful candidate will lead the research and teaching in the Advanced Propulsion Lab, focusing on decarbonizing the transport sector, including land, sea, and air applications, as well as the generation of electrofuels.

Key responsibilities include developing research promoting the future of advanced propulsion, carrying out and publishing high-quality research, securing research grant funding, and maintaining national and international networks and partnerships.

About You

The successful candidate will have a PhD/EngD in engineering, chemistry, physics, or a relevant discipline, with a substantial international reputation in scholarship and research, or equivalent industrial experience.

Essential skills include vision, leadership, and the ability to manage a substantial research team, train, guide, and motivate research students and junior academic colleagues.
