We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our team at ESS, a leading provider of food and support services to the Defence sector. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality food and excellent customer service to our clients.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare delicious, high-quality food: You will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of meals, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner options, using fresh ingredients and following strict health and safety guidelines.
  2. Maintain a clean and safe environment: You will be expected to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen and surrounding areas, ensuring that all equipment and utensils are cleaned and sanitised regularly.
  3. Assist with delivery and loading: You may be required to assist with the loading and unloading of deliveries and supply vehicles, ensuring that all stock is stored safely and securely.
  4. Represent ESS and promote a positive image: As an ambassador for ESS, you will be expected to represent the company in a professional and courteous manner, promoting a positive image of our brand and values.

Salary and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary of £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits, including:

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  1. Excellent communication skills: You will need to be able to communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, and suppliers, both verbally and in writing.
  2. Attention to detail: You will need to be able to maintain accurate records and ensure that all tasks are completed to a high standard.
  3. Ability to work under pressure: You will need to be able to work calmly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment, often under time pressure.

Estimated Salary: £28,500 per annum.
