Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Culinary Specialist to join our team at Compass Group UK & Ireland. As a key member of our Defence, Government, and Energy services sector, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional food experiences for our clients and customers.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality food that meets the highest standards of taste, presentation, and safety. This includes overseeing menu changes, identifying opportunities to improve our food services, and listening to customer feedback to consistently enhance our offerings.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing delicious, high-quality food that delights our clients and customers
  • Overseeing and implementing menu changes
  • Identifying opportunities to improve our food services
  • Listening and acting on customer feedback
  • Supporting with the creation of new menus and creative food concepts
  • Representing Defence and maintaining a positive brand image
  • Monitoring inventories to keep our kitchens well-stocked
  • Overseeing kitchen cleaning responsibilities to maintain hygiene standards
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A passion for great-tasting food and exceptional customer service
  • A City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent qualification
  • Experience supervising a team
  • Experience in a similar chef role
  • A Food Hygiene certificate
  • A flexible approach to working
