Recovery Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Recovery Worker to join our team at Richmond Fellowship's Meridan House. As a Recovery Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with mental health issues to maintain their tenancy and independence in the community.

About the Role

As a Recovery Worker, you will be responsible for working with individuals to develop a personal support plan that addresses their unique needs and goals. This may involve supporting them to develop domestic and finance management skills, accessing work, leisure, or educational opportunities, and promoting their overall wellbeing.

You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide a comprehensive support package that meets the individual's needs. This will include providing emotional support, practical assistance, and advocacy to help individuals achieve their goals and aspirations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individual support plans that promote recovery and independence
  • Provide emotional support and practical assistance to individuals in their daily lives
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals to ensure a comprehensive support package
  • Advocate for individuals to access community resources and services
  • Monitor and review individual progress, making adjustments to support plans as needed
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a caring and compassionate nature, with a strong understanding of mental health issues and the recovery model. You will also need to be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Experience of working in a mental health or social care setting is desirable, but not essential. What is essential is your passion for supporting individuals to achieve their goals and aspirations, and your commitment to promoting recovery and independence.
