Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Youth Support Worker to join our team at Academics. As a Youth Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide individualized support to students with SEN and SEMH needs.
  • Develop and implement personalized learning plans to help students achieve their academic and personal goals.
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to students, helping them to build confidence and self-esteem.
  • Collaborate with other professionals, such as counselors and therapists, to ensure a comprehensive support system for students.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of school policies and procedures related to SEN and SEMH support.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications and experience working with young people with SEN and SEMH needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach.
  • Knowledge of child protection and safeguarding procedures, with a commitment to maintaining a safe and supportive learning environment.
