The role will involve some staff supervision, workload allocation, and prioritizing work to ensure proactive oversight of waiting lists. The Senior Social Worker will also hold a small caseload of complex cases and have a Nominated Officer role in Adult Support and Protection.

Candidates should have a suitable professional Social Work qualification, be registered with the SSS, and have at least five years of post-qualifying experience. They should also have extensive statutory social work experience involving the care, support, and protection of vulnerable people.

NHS Scotland offers a supportive professional Social Work working environment with an emphasis on learning and development, robust levels of supervision and support, and peer support. The organization welcomes applications from Social Workers interested in developing their practice into Social Work leadership and management.

The post will be based in Fort William, and the successful candidate will be required to provide services across the whole Lochaber area. A driving licence is essential, and applicants should have access to their own vehicle for work purposes. A pool car is also available.

Key Responsibilities:
