Senior Social Worker

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Social Worker to join our team at Foster Care Associates (FCA). As a Supervising Social Worker, you will play a critical role in supporting foster parents and their families to achieve outstanding outcomes for children and young people in foster care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support foster parents to provide a safe, healthy, nurturing, and learning environment for children/young people.
- Monitor the continued suitability and competence of foster parents, ensuring they meet the standards expected.
- Provide regular supervision to allocated foster parents, working in partnership to identify needs and provide support.
- Ensure compliance with key documentation and attend relevant meetings.
- Promote participation of children/young people in the development of the agency and access to resources and opportunities.
Requirements:
- A Social Work qualification and professional registration with Social Work England or equivalent.
- Proven ability to produce high-quality report writing and a comprehensive working knowledge of relevant legislation and child safeguarding procedures.
- The willingness and ability to travel extensively, including occasional nights away, and confidence in transporting children and young people in stressful situations.
- A full driving licence and the ability to work in a team environment.
