We are seeking a detail-oriented Finance Assistant to support our team in managing financial operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in finance or accounting roles and proficiency with accounting software, preferably SAGE.
Key Responsibilities:- Financial Transactions: Log into banking platforms daily to check balances and cash receipts, prepare for weekly wage payments, and reconcile receivables finance accounts monthly.
- Accounting and Record-Keeping: Post all cash transactions to the accounting system promptly, manage sales ledger by matching invoices, posting to the accounting system, and sending invoices to customers.
- Customer and Supplier Management: Set up new customer accounts, ensure accurate registration details, work with various payment systems, and self-billing customers to ensure invoices are processed correctly.
- Payroll and Benefits: Manage wage-related tasks, including recording holidays and sickness, calculating pay variations, and processing weekly payroll.
- Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and send monthly cash receipts reports and statements of accounts to customers, assist with month-end closing tasks, including invoice and credit note verification, and preparing accruals.
- Experience in finance or accounting roles.
- Proficiency with accounting software, preferably SAGE.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
