About the Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapy Lead Specialist to join our team at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust. As a leader in occupational therapy, you will be responsible for managing a team of occupational therapists, developing clinical services, and ensuring compliance with trust policies and procedures.

We are a large acute and specialized hospital trust providing a range of local acute services to the residents of Worcestershire and more specialized services to a larger population in Herefordshire and beyond. Our workforce is over 7,000 strong, and our caring staff are recognized for providing good and outstanding patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and lead the occupational therapy service to deliver high-quality care to patients
  • Manage a team of occupational therapists to achieve departmental goals
  • Develop and implement clinical services to meet the needs of patients
  • Evaluate existing services to ensure they meet the needs of patients
  • Collaborate with community colleagues to develop joint working arrangements between the acute and community sectors
  • Lead on the management of human resource issues, including maternity leave, change of work patterns, annual and other leave, grading, and capability issues

Requirements:

  • Diploma or degree in occupational therapy
  • Masters-level qualification or equivalent knowledge, skills, and experience
  • Management qualification or equivalent evidence of management development
  • Health and Care Professions Council registration (HCPC)
  • Budgetary management
  • Recruitment and selection training

Salary: £62,500 - £72,500 per annum, depending on experience
