About the Role

This challenging yet fulfilling role requires a highly motivated individual to lead and motivate the Occupational Therapy team, driving excellence and innovation in patient care.

Main Accountabilities:
  • To provide specialist Occupational Therapy services, addressing the complex needs of patients within the acute service.
  • To design and deliver bespoke training programmes for staff and students, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • To collaborate with senior clinicians to inform strategy and drive service development, leveraging expertise and best practice.
Key Qualifications and Experience:Education and Professional Qualifications:
  • Degree in Occupational Therapy from a reputable institution, underpinned by current knowledge and best practice.
  • Active HCPC registration, demonstrating a commitment to ongoing professional development and lifelong learning.
  • Evidence of significant post-graduate experience, including leadership roles and achievements.
Leadership and Management Skills:
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, inspiring confidence and trust among colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with vision, passion, and energy to drive positive change and improve patient outcomes.
  • Effective communicator with exceptional interpersonal skills, able to build strong relationships and partnerships.
Specialist Expertise:
  • Advanced knowledge of moving and handling assessments, with the ability to provision and evaluate equipment.
  • Proficient in assessing and addressing physical disabilities, including rehabilitation and recovery planning.

Salary: £45,753 - £51,041 per annum (Band 6)
