Job Details

We are seeking a Marine Engineering Professional to join our team in Portsmouth Naval Base. This is an exciting opportunity to work on complex mechanical systems onboard Royal Navy vessels.

The successful candidate will have experience in completing commissioning and setting to work mechanical systems, including sea water cooling systems, fresh water systems, steering and stabilising systems. They will also be responsible for defect diagnosis and rectification work on various equipment and systems.

In this role, you will provide technical guidance and support to Royal Navy personnel on the operation of their equipment to ensure optimal performance. You will also work on designated trials and commissioning activities, providing support globally to the Royal Navy.

Key responsibilities:

  • Completing commissioning and setting to work mechanical systems
  • Defect diagnosis and rectification work
  • Providing technical guidance and support

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of mechanical systems on-board ships
  • Commissioning of mechanical systems within a marine environment
  • Ability to fault find and diagnose defects on mechanical systems

Salary: £55,000 - £75,000 per annum, depending on experience.
