Job Title: SEN Social Skills Development Tutor

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Social Skills Development Tutor to join our team at Wayman Learning Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing group and one-on-one sessions focused on improving communication and interpersonal skills for children with special educational needs (SEN).

About the Role:

The SEN Social Skills Development Tutor will play a critical role in helping children overcome social communication barriers and develop confidence in their interactions with others. The ideal candidate will have relevant qualifications in Childcare, Psychology, or SEN support, and proven experience working with children with Autism and other social communication challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver group and one-on-one sessions to children with SEN, focusing on social skills development and communication.
  • Develop and implement tailored support plans to meet the individual needs of each child.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Contribute to the development of new programs and initiatives to enhance the service.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications in Childcare, Psychology, or SEN support.
  • Proven experience working with children with Autism and other social communication challenges.
  • Strong ability to create and lead engaging group sessions and one-on-one support.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build trusting relationships with students and parents.
  • A clear DBS check and legal right to work in the UK.
