">Job Summary
">The Switchboard Supervisor will play a crucial role in the management of our 24/7 telecommunications function, assisting the Switchboard Team Leader in ensuring a responsive and customer-focused service.
">Main Responsibilities
">- ">
- To be the first point of contact for reported issues, incidents, or queries, taking necessary action and maintaining accurate records.">
- To provide a point of contact for service users, handling complex or sensitive information with empathy and persuasive skills.">
- To recognize the need for alternative communication methods, arranging access to support services as required.">
- To resolve team-identified issues, informing relevant managers of actions taken.">
- To address complaints about the service, documenting actions taken and escalating if necessary.">
- To cover shifts during emergency staffing problems, ensuring emergency-trained telephonists are on duty.">
- To attend departmental meetings, contributing to effective teamwork and exchanging views.">
- To apply information governance and patient confidentiality principles in all aspects of the role.">

">This position requires significant experience within telecommunications, with a focus on managing complex 24/7 networks. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work autonomously and prioritize tasks effectively.

- Good general education (GCSE English and Maths A-C / Level 9-4) and NVQ Level 3 in an administrative environment or equivalent experience.">
- Significant experience within telecommunications, including managing complex 24/7 networks.">
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work autonomously and prioritize tasks effectively.">
- Able to multi-task, quantify, and balance competing tasks and requirements.">
- Ability to work in a challenging and busy environment, responding positively to changing circumstances and conditions.">
- Excellent IT literacy (MS Office) and ability to react quickly to emergency situations.">
- Able to work on own initiative and organize own workload with minimal supervision, working to tight and often changing timescales.">
- Ability to work as part of a team and provide excellent customer service skills.">
Salary and Benefits
">The estimated salary for this position is £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a range of benefits, including flexible working arrangements, training and development opportunities, and a comprehensive pension scheme.
