Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Associate Director to join our Transport Planning team in Scotland. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering business development and work-winning initiatives to grow our Public Sector market share in Scotland.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement business development strategies to win substantial work and grow our Public Sector market share in Scotland.
  2. Lead and manage a team of transport professionals to deliver a varied portfolio of transport planning work.
  3. Collaborate with colleagues in other service lines to deliver large multi-disciplinary projects.
  4. Support the delivery of our Transport Strategy for the North of the UK.
  5. Lead and encourage professional development through mentoring team members and training.

About the Role

As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to shape and grow our Transport Planning business in Scotland and nationally. You will work collaboratively with our team to deliver business development and work-winning initiatives, and lead and manage a team of transport professionals to deliver a varied portfolio of transport planning work.

What You'll Need

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a proven ability to public sector win work and grow a transport planning offer in Scotland. You will also need significant knowledge and experience of delivering multi-disciplinary projects in the UK, particularly for local authority clients, and the ability to lead and manage teams. Additionally, you will need knowledge of current Scotland transport policy and experience of negotiating with a range of stakeholders through the application of strong communication and collaboration skills.
