Test Automation Manager

The Senior Test Automation Specialist is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the successful delivery of test automation solutions across various projects, products, releases, and IT changes. This highly skilled and experienced professional will promote quality and advocacy on best test practices, create and manage test automation assets, collaborate with and support manual testing efforts where necessary, and manage the resolution of issues that impede the test effort.

This role is a hybrid position between Test Lead and Senior Test Engineer, with a focus on automation. It is expected that the candidate will be capable of adapting their style to include a hands-on approach with testing where necessary.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Automation and execution of test cases of a complex or business-critical nature
  • Subject Matter Expertise for testing of a specific Business Unit
  • Previous 'hands-on' experience on large IT projects and programmes
  • Experience of Manual and Automated testing
  • Selenium or Cypress web testing tools
  • Automation of legacy character-based terminal applications (Telnet or similar)
  • SQL
  • Microsoft Excel and all 365 apps
  • Monitoring Software - PerfMon, Zabbix, New Relic or similar
