About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Italian Language Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at Universally Speaking. As a key member of our Localization Quality Assurance (LQA) team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the linguistic accuracy and cultural relevance of our clients' games and applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough linguistic testing of in-game text to identify and report bugs and errors
  • Collaborate with developers to ensure that localization requirements are met and that games and applications are culturally sensitive
  • Develop and execute test cases to validate the quality of localized content
  • Work closely with the QA team to ensure seamless communication and coordination
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in LQA and localization
Requirements
  • Native-level proficiency in Italian and excellent written and spoken English skills
  • Passion for video games and a keen eye for detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven experience in LQA, translation, or proofreading, preferably in the video game industry
  • Working knowledge of CAT tools, such as MemoQ, and industry-standard bug databases
