Join Our Team as a Support Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Assistant to join our team in Swansea. As a Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting young people aged 16-25 who are experiencing homelessness.

About the Role

This is a full-time position, working 38.5 hours per week, with a permanent contract. You will work a mixture of days and waking nights, with a rotating shift pattern on a 16-week rolling rota. The salary for this role is £22,958.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting young people in a safe and secure environment
  • Working with individuals who have experienced homelessness and understanding their needs
  • Providing reliable advice and guidance to young people
  • Following safeguarding and health & safety policies
  • Working collaboratively with other services to provide a comprehensive support package
Requirements
  • A passion for helping others and a solid understanding of the causes of youth homelessness
  • Compassion, understanding, and resilience in working with vulnerable young people
  • A driver's license and a vehicle would be highly desirable
  • A DBS on the update service or willingness to carry out a new DBS
  • Flexibility around shifts and ability to work days and nights
