Job Title: Tutor for PEX Students

Protocol Education is seeking experienced and motivated tutors to support secondary students who have been permanently excluded (PEX) from mainstream education.

Job Summary:

We are looking for tutors who can provide personalized tuition sessions to PEX students in the Redcar area. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of the UK curriculum, excellent communication and behavior management skills, and the ability to work in 1:1 and small group settings.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver tailored programs that complement ongoing class work, learning objectives, and assessment plans.
  • Deliver tuition face-to-face or online, adapting content, style, and format to ensure effective results.
  • Build strong relationships with pupils and school contacts through session delivery, weekly review meetings, tuition progress reports, and feedback.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher with QTS or equivalent, or a Teaching Assistant with previous experience of tutoring.
  • Previous experience of planning lessons and working with students with a range of needs.
  • A strong grasp of the UK curriculum and the ability to work in 1:1 and small group settings.
  • Excellent communication and behavior management skills.
  • Reliability and commitment to delivering engaging lessons.
