GLG Vets is a well-established veterinary practice based in the heart of Westminster, Greater London.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Deputy Head Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join our dynamic team.

About the Role

This pivotal position offers the opportunity to lead and support a team of RVNs and VCAs while overseeing the daily running of the practice floor.

  • Oversight of day-to-day operations on the veterinary floor, ensuring smooth workflow and excellent patient care.
  • Collaboration with senior management to develop strategies that enhance team performance and overall clinic success.
  • Leadership, mentorship, and development of the team to ensure high standards of care and professional growth.
  • Rota management and scheduling to ensure sufficient staffing levels and effective team coverage.
  • Fostering a positive, collaborative, and inclusive team environment.
  • Maintenance of clinical and operational standards in line with industry regulations and best practices.

Key Requirements:

  • Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) with valid RCVS membership.
  • Previous experience in a senior RVN role, ideally in leadership or supervisory capacity.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for team motivation and inspiration.
  • Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
  • PASSION FOR DELIVERING HIGH-QUALITY VETERINARY CARE AND DEVELOPING THE TEAM.
