Job Summary

We are seeking a talented Junior Editor to join our football desk in the UK. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for editing and publishing high-quality content, collaborating with writers, and contributing to our live coverage of professional football.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with writers to develop engaging stories and features
  • Edit and publish content to ensure accuracy, quality, and style
  • Participate in live coverage of breaking news and events
  • Develop and implement innovative methods to cover news in a live environment
  • Work with the team to identify and develop news stories
  • Follow best practices for headline writing and SEO optimization
Requirements
  • Experience in news and feature editing on digital platforms
  • Strong news judgment and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Deep knowledge of and passion for sports, primarily football
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
