Job Summary
We are seeking a junior content editor to join our football desk in the UK. The ideal candidate will be a sports-loving newshound with excellent editing skills, able to work in a fast-paced environment and thrive in a real-time news setting. This role requires a combination of office-based and remote working, with a minimum of 3 days per week in our London office.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with writers to produce high-quality content for our football desk.
• Line and copy edit stories for quality, context, style, and grammar.
• Work with our team to develop news stories and cover live events.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest sports news and trends.
• Contribute to the development of our content strategy and initiatives.

Requirements

• Experience in news and feature editing on digital platforms.
• Strong news judgment and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Deep knowledge of and passion for sports, primarily football.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
