About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Generator Engineer to take the lead and motivate a small team working for a leading plant hire company. As the Senior Generator Engineer, you will be depot based and work Monday to Friday only.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out testing and inspections of generators and heavy plant machinery.
  • Lead and motivate a small team of Generator Engineers.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to resolve complex technical issues.
  • Provide training and guidance to junior engineers to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • SVQ or NVQ Level 3 in Plant Maintenance or equivalent.
  • CSCS Gold Card holder (preferred).
  • Strong understanding of mechanics, hydraulics, and electrical systems specific to generators and heavy plant machinery.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
