English Tutor Role

Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated English Tutor to deliver high-quality, 1:1 tuition to secondary-aged young people in need of support. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in helping these students bridge gaps in their education and achieve their full potential.

The Opportunity

This English Tutor position is perfect for someone who is passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of disengaged, at-risk, and vulnerable learners. You will have the opportunity to create and deliver tailored lesson plans that cater to the unique needs of each student, helping them to build confidence and achieve academic success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver 1:1 tuition to secondary-aged young people in a supportive and non-judgmental environment
  • Assess and identify areas of need for each student, developing targeted lesson plans to address these gaps
  • Work collaboratively with students, families, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to education
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress, making adjustments to lesson plans as needed
Requirements
  • QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Experience working with disengaged, at-risk, and vulnerable learners
  • Ability to think creatively and develop innovative lesson plans
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
