About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Maths, English, or Science Tutor to join our team at Fleet Education Services. As a Tutor, you will play a vital role in supporting learners who require dedicated, in-person support to achieve academic success.

Our learners are situated within Barnet, and we are looking for a Tutor who can provide high-quality tuition to learners who are struggling to meet age-related academic expectations. You will work with learners who may have complex learning requirements, including Special Educational Needs (SEN), Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, and Childhood Trauma.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create engaging lesson plans and deliver tuition that inspires and teaches.
  • Monitor learner progress and provide constructive feedback to foster continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with learner guardians/teachers to ensure academic success.
  • Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions and learner performance through our virtual learning platform.

Requirements
  • Must hold a Bachelor's level degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 6 months UK teaching/tutoring experience.
  • Must live and be eligible to work in the UK.
  • Must be willing to undertake a full Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and referencing process, as well as subscribing to the DBS Update Service.
  • A commitment to safeguarding.
  • Experience supporting students with SEN, SEMH, and other complex needs.
