About the Role

Cygnet Health Care is seeking a skilled Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Trinity House. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality meals to our residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of nutritious and appetizing meals
  • Perform cooking tasks and other kitchen duties
  • Ensure the cleanliness of the kitchen, service areas, and dining room
  • Wash utensils, dishes, and store them properly
  • Rotate stock and put away deliveries
  • Maintain personal hygiene to meet Cygnet standards and food hygiene regulations
  • Handle, maintain, and store kitchen equipment according to Cygnet procedures
  • Use chemicals in line with Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations

Requirements

  • Experience in catering, preferably in a care setting
