About the Role

This is a Part-Time role: 18.5 hours per week.

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Childcare Teacher to join our team at Harrogate College.

As a Childcare Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching the Childcare curriculum to our students, ensuring they receive a high-quality education and achieve their full potential.

You will plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons, assess student progress, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of the subject area.

We are looking for a candidate who can demonstrate excellent communication skills, a passion for teaching, and the ability to support students with varying needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach the Childcare curriculum to students, promoting a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Plan and deliver lessons, using a range of teaching methods to engage students and promote learning.
  • Assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance to support student development.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the subject area, staying current with best practices and research.
  • Participate in student recruitment activities, including interviews and open evenings.

About You

We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about teaching and has a strong commitment to student success.

You will have a L5 Teaching Qualification (e.g. Cert Ed, PGCE) and relevant experience in Childcare.

You will be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and a willingness to work collaboratively as part of a team.
