Job Description Summary

GE Aviation's Power Conversion business provides electrification systems that are critical to customers' power and energy needs for their high-performance applications. We work with some of the world's major energy, maritime and industrial organizations, helping to enable a transition to energy efficiency and decarbonization, including through our specialist motors, drives and control technologies.

Job Description

As a Field Service Electrical Engineer, your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Installation and commissioning of drives (HV and LV) and PLC based automation systems on industrial sites both nationally and globally.
  2. Carrying out reactive and planned maintenance activities on customer sites, both nationally and globally.
  3. Reading and marking up equipment drawings and circuit diagrams in preparation for formal drawing office updates.
  4. Supporting key service contract customers, including remote support as well as travelling to customer sites to perform diagnosis and repair activities if required.
  5. Carrying out all mandatory company training and obtain/maintain other competence related qualifications as required.
  6. Compiling risk assessments and method statements in preparation for customer site visits.
Requirements

We are looking for a committed and professional individual with:

  1. Bachelors degree (or equivalent) in Electrical and/or Power Electronics.
  2. Engineering (or similar relevant discipline) Or recognized Engineering Apprenticeship, four year plus, Higher National Certificate in an Electrical Engineering discipline.
  3. Demonstrable understanding of electronic and electrical engineering drawings.
