Academics is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Psychology Graduate to join their team as an Academic Support Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate to gain hands-on experience working with children who have Special Educational Needs (SEN) or Mental Health issues.

The successful candidate will work closely with trained professionals such as child psychologists, speech & language therapists, and pastoral support, allowing them to gain invaluable insight into the career they may want to progress into.

The ideal candidate will be warm and welcoming, able to work as part of a team, and have excellent communication skills. They will also have experience/knowledge of supporting SEN and a degree in Psychology or a related subject.

This is a long-term contract with the view of going permanent, offering a competitive daily rate and ample opportunities for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) courses and training.

Academics is a friendly and supportive school, and the Head Teacher is seeking someone who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of children.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing academic support to children with SEN or Mental Health issues
  • Working closely with trained professionals to develop strategies for supporting children
  • Participating in CPD courses and training to enhance skills and knowledge
  • Contributing to a positive and inclusive school environment
