Job Title: Culinary Team Member - Dining Experience Specialist

We are seeking a talented and motivated Culinary Team Member to join our Kitchen Team at Brookview care home in Alderley Edge, Cheshire. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who shares our passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences for residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create menus that cater to the diverse dietary needs and preferences of residents, ensuring their nutritional requirements are met.
  • Train and supervise the kitchen team in food preparation, cooking, and serving, promoting a culture of teamwork and excellence.
  • Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene, adhering to COSHH and HACCP guidelines, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Cater for special events and seasonal activities, providing a unique and memorable experience for residents.
  • Work collaboratively with the care team to understand resident needs and preferences, tailoring menu options accordingly.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting open communication and respect among team members.
  • Prioritize tasks efficiently, managing orders and deliveries effectively to meet deadlines and ensure seamless service.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar role or within a hospitality setting, with a focus on customer satisfaction and quality cuisine.
  • Degree-level qualification in a related field (e.g., culinary arts, nutrition) or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with colleagues, residents, and families.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and bank holidays, to meet business demands.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
