Location: Havering - Hybrid

Salary: 40.00 hour PAYE/50.34 Umbrella

Job Type: Temporary until 31/01/2025 with the possibility of extension

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Public Protection Officer - Environmental Protection to join our team. As a key member of our environmental protection team, you will be responsible for investigating complaints related to environmental protection and statutory nuisance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigate complaints related to environmental protection and statutory nuisance.
  • Take charge of areas such as noise/acoustics, statutory nuisance, air quality, and contaminated land.
  • Provide valuable input on licensing and planning applications.
  • Carry out appropriate enforcement actions and respond to nuisance complaints.
  • Conduct monitoring visits, with occasional unsociable hours (subject to manager approval).
  • Balance in-office and remote work, with site visits as required.

Requirements:

  • Full driver's licence, own vehicle, and business insurance (mandatory).
  • Registered Environmental Health Practitioner or relevant professional qualification (desirable).
