Strathclyde Partnership for Transport (SPT) is a leading regional transport partnership in Scotland, responsible for delivering better public transport for all.

The Logistics Support Assistant (Stores Person) will play a crucial role in the efficient running of the Subway, supporting maintenance activities and ensuring the smooth operation of our services.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Organising and assembling materials to support Subway maintenance activities
  • Using stores management systems to issue parts to customers and raise and receipt purchase orders
  • Carrying out forklift tasks, including daily checks, and liaising with suppliers
  • Managing the control of calibrated tools

The successful applicant will be highly motivated, capable, and reliable, with experience of working as a Logistics Support Assistant (Stores Person) and in kitting of parts. Experience of Microsoft Office packages is essential, as well as good communication skills and the ability to work autonomously or as part of a team.
