The Logistics Support Assistant (Stores Person) will play a crucial role in the efficient running of the Glasgow Subway, supporting maintenance activities and ensuring the smooth operation of the system.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for organizing and assembling materials, using stores management systems to issue parts to customers and raise and receipt purchase orders. They will also be expected to carry out forklift tasks, including daily checks, and liaise with suppliers to manage the control of calibrated tools.
The Logistics Support Assistant will have the opportunity to develop and broaden their skills and experience in line with the modernization activity and introduction of new assets.
About You
We are looking for a highly motivated, capable, and reliable individual with experience of working as a Logistics Support Assistant (Stores Person) and in kitting of parts. Experience of Microsoft Office packages is essential, as well as experience in forklift duties, interfacing with digital stock control systems, stock audits, and inspections.
The successful applicant will have good communication skills and be able to work autonomously or as part of a team. A positive attitude and ability to work in a changing environment are essential.

You will be based at Broomloan Depot, Govan, Glasgow.
