Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Pharmacist Education Specialist to join our team at Swansea Bay University Health Board.

The successful candidate will work closely with our Consultant Histopathologists and Biomedical Scientists to provide accurate diagnoses of specimens, contributing to improved patient care and welfare.

Main Duties

The Senior Pharmacist Education Specialist will be responsible for:

  • Providing education and training to healthcare professionals on histopathology and biomedical science
  • Developing and implementing education programs to improve patient care and outcomes
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient care and services
  • Conducting research and evaluating the effectiveness of education programs
  • Providing leadership and guidance to junior staff members
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in pharmacy or a related field
  • Experience in education and training, preferably in a healthcare setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent leadership and management skills
