About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Planning Assistant. As a key member of our planning service, you will play a vital role in delivering excellent customer service and supporting the development of our communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Handle a caseload of planning applications, appeals, and enforcement cases
  • Engage with applicants and other interested parties on a day-to-day basis
  • Deliver excellent customer service and high-quality development
  • Work collaboratively with the team to achieve our council priorities
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 qualifications equivalent to NVQ level 2 or GCSE at Grade C/4 or above, including Maths and English
  • Ability to build customer relationships and resolve routine issues by negotiation
  • Experience in assessing routine situations and carrying out inspections if required
  • Ability to remain calm and confident when dealing with challenging customers and environments
