Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our East Locality Team. The successful candidate will have a sound knowledge and experience of working in a social care setting, with a focus on equipment and adaptations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Practice supervision for students on placements
  • Support to Occupational Therapy Assistants as required
  • Implement the Safeguarding Adults policy & procedure and manage staff through the process, including chairing complex strategy meetings
  • Manage, monitor, and review care plans involving users and carers, liaising with other workers and agencies as appropriate
Essential Qualifications and Experience
  • Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy recognised by the College of Occupational Therapists
  • Registered with Health Professions Council
  • Experience of working in a social care setting
  • Experience of dealing with equipment and adaptations
  • Experience of providing services to vulnerable adults
  • Experience of carrying out assessments in line with Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992 and responsibilities under the 1974 Health and Safety at Work Act
Working Hours and Additional Information

Working hours: 35 hours per week

Please note that this is a 1-month contract with a Local Authority.
