Materials Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Materials Manager to join our team at our Duxford, UK location.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure the site supply chain is managed in line with the company's EHS policies and environmental protection procedures.
- Provide effective leadership and direction to the site Supply Chain team, ensuring efficient and timely supply chain solutions and services.
- Responsible for the site Master Production Plan, working closely with the Plant Manager and European Supply Chain Manager.
- Develop and implement replenishment strategies, targets, and procedures to achieve agreed inventory levels for raw materials, intermediates, and finished goods.
- Collaborate with plant management to maximize customer service levels and on-time delivery of customer orders.
- Lead the implementation of local supply chain improvement initiatives.
- Manage the supplier base to ensure consistent and reliable supply of all materials used in production and/or site activities.
- Develop and implement talent development plans, working with Regional/Global teams to ensure key talent is developed across locations/businesses.
- University Degree or equivalent in Supply Chain management, business administration, operations management, engineering, or a related field.
- Extensive supply chain experience gained from a senior operational role within a vertically integrated, multi-national organization.
- CPIM and/or CSCP certification from the Association for Operations Management (APICS) is highly preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills within a multi-cultural environment.
- Experience in motivating and interfacing at site, regional, global, and corporate levels, preferably within a matrix reporting environment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead improvement programs within a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of raw material planning/procurement, scheduling, and/or inventory controls systems.
- AX2012 systems knowledge will be an advantage.
- Willing and able to travel outside of the UK 10–15% of the time.
