We are seeking a skilled Clinical Support Worker to join our dedicated team on Ward, a 33-bedded medical ward with specialties in gastroenterology and cardiology. The ward also incorporates the 11-bedded inpatient oncology/haematology area, which is Gold Standard accredited for providing high standards of care for our end-of-life patients.

Main Responsibilities

As a Clinical Support Worker, you will be responsible for supporting patients with personal care, nutrition, and fluid management. You will also report to and support the registered nurse, ensuring the environment is kept clean and tidy, and following infection prevention guidance.

Requirements

  • Experience working in a care setting
  • Manual handling of patients
  • Completion of NHS Care Certificate or equivalent relevant experience to level 3
  • Knowledge of personal care and related procedures
  • Able to maintain accurate patient records
  • Able to work on own initiative with limited supervision, as well as part of a team
  • Communicate effectively and report changes in patient conditions
