About the Role

Northamptonshire Carers is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Community Development Coordinator to join our team. As a Community Development Coordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting our Social Prescribing link workers in achieving their goals and making a positive impact on the lives of our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and Maintain Community Resources: Develop and maintain a comprehensive source of information on community resources, activities, and contacts to support our clients.
  • Support Client Volunteers: Work closely with a caseload of client volunteers to build their confidence and skills, and support them in achieving their goals.
  • Promote Spring at Events: Actively promote Spring at events and meetings to raise awareness of our services and build relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Support Social Prescribing Link Workers: Provide support to Social Prescribing link workers with their caseload as needed, ensuring that clients receive the best possible support.
  • Manage a Busy Diary: Manage a busy diary of events and appointments, prioritizing tasks and ensuring that deadlines are met.
  • Participate in Team Meetings: Participate in team meetings and events, contributing to the development of our services and sharing best practices.
  • Recognize Opportunities: Identify opportunities in the community to grow our services and support our clients, being creative in developing new initiatives.
  • Promote Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion: Embed equality, diversity, and inclusion principles in all aspects of our work, promoting a culture of respect and inclusivity.
Requirements
  • Excellent Communication and Listening Skills: Possess excellent communication and listening skills, able to adapt to a range of audiences and build strong relationships.
  • Experience in Community Development: Have experience in developing and coordinating community-led programs, working with community members, VCSE, or public sector organizations.
  • Ability to Work Independently: Be able to work independently, taking responsibility for task delivery and prioritizing tasks effectively.
  • Full Driving License and Business Insurance: Possess a full driving license and have access to a car with business insurance.
  • Enhanced DBS and Right to Work in the UK: Have an enhanced DBS check and the right to work in the UK.
