Clinical Research Coordinator

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Assistant Trial Manager to join our team at the University of Oxford. This is an exciting opportunity for someone wanting to take the next step in clinical trial management or for someone who already has experience but is looking for a challenge in a new area. As an Assistant Trial Manager, you will have the opportunity to learn and develop your skills in the set up and management of a variety of trials conducted at the University of Oxford, including CTIMPs, and in supporting other members of the team with different aspects of study delivery.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a minimum of A-level or equivalent education and proven administrative and project management skills. You will also need to have experience of working in clinical research and an understanding and previous experience of working to Good Clinical Practice and the regulations and guidelines applicable to clinical trials in the UK. You must be able to work both as a member of a multi-disciplinary team and independently, using your own initiative to seek solutions to problems and provide excellent administrative and project management support. You will also need to have evidence of self-motivation, initiative and the ability to work both independently and as part of a busy team. Additionally, you will need to have the ability to work under pressure, organisational and prioritising skills, and the ability to meet tight deadlines. You will also need to have effective communication, negotiation, presentation and inter-personal skills, and the ability to demonstrate critical and intelligent attention to detail and high standards of accuracy. Familiarity with the Internet and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint are also essential. Experience of working with CTIMPs and supervising, mentoring or training staff is desirable.
About the Department
The Nuffield Department of Clinical Medicine is one of the largest departments of the University of Oxford and is part of the Medical Sciences Division, with responsibility for a significant part of the teaching of clinical students within the Medical School. The department is committed to providing a supportive and inclusive environment for all staff and students. The post is full-time, 37.5 hours per week and fixed-term for 12 months in the first instance.
